Black Ops Vietnam: Recon
Black Ops Vietnam: Recon is an action backed spin-off series from the Black Ops Vietnam series.

Corporal Rick Heller is near the end of his tour and looking forward to going home to pick up the threads of his life. To be reunited with his fiancée and get married. To get his life back on course, but somehow, Vietnam casts a dark shadow over the lives of those who served. Heller is fated to be no exception.

Vietnam, 1968. Troops are stood down during Tet, the annual Vietnamese celebration that takes place every January. Saigon and Hanoi have made a ‘Gentleman’s Agreement,’ for a temporary cessation of hostilities. Soldiers breathe a sigh of relief as the bullets cease firing and the shelling stops. But the ruthless rulers of North Vietnam, the Politburo, are no gentlemen.

Vietnam, 1969. A female defector reaches South Vietnam with startling news. Major Nguyen Mai-Lan, a senior officer of the ‘People’s Army of Vietnam,’ has witnessed scores of American prisoners, listed as MIAs, being held in a remote area in the far northwest of the country. An old battlefield known as Dien Bien Phu.

Vietnam, 1970. A US Navy aircraft narrowly avoids being shot down by a cloud of missiles launched from a remote patch of jungle, south of Haiphong, North Vietnam. In South Vietnam, the Vietcong kidnaps Nguyen Huy Quan, the nephew of the President of South Vietnam. Two unrelated events. Except they are not unrelated.
